MECHANICAL DEPARTMENT
LABS SYLLABUS FACULTY PROFILE PLACEMENTS
The department was started in the year 2003-2004 with an aim of imparting quality education in the field of Mechanical Engineering and bringing out efficient engineers. The department offers an undergraduate program in B.Tech, Mechanical Engineering. The faculty members are well qualified and highly experienced. It has 12 well established laboratories with state of the art equipment.
The department has undergone recently through an NBA inspection process and the result is expected very soon. Apart from the day to day teaching process the students are exposed to expert lectures, adjunct courses and industrial visits which are beyond the curriculum activities specified by JNTU, Hyderabad. The department has one Ph.D, 10 M.Techs and one B.Tech with project management diploma. About six faculty members are seriously pursuing their Ph.D programs and actively involved in latest research.
As a social responsibility the department conducted two free training programs to Government ITI students of Bhongir, on CNC Machining Processes. Consultancy jobs offered to or done by a department are certificates of the strength of the department in the related area. With a view to strengthen academic and application oriented capabilities, the department has undertaken this activity. Four MOU's were signed with Industrial establishments to formalize this activity. Although begun in a modest way, we already have completed a few significant assignments and intend to pursue this more vigorously in future.

To be a centre of excellence in Mechanical Engineering both in teaching and research serving the needs of our country in particular and the globe as a whole.
Mission
1. Provide quality education well grounded in the fundamental principles of engineering. 2. Consistently produce top quality mechanical engineers who can take leadership positions and become successful entrepreneurs.
3. Continuously develop new knowledge, undertake R & D that will contribute to the industrial development of the nation.
Programs Offered
The department offers an undergraduate B.Tech program in Mechanical Engineering with an intake capacity of 60 students. One M.Tech program in CAD/CAM is being planned to introduce very soon.
