AAVIRBHAAV, marks the induction of the first year students to the family of Aurora. This is one of the main events at AEC as we want our students' first step to be a memorable one both to the students as well as to the teachers and management that could be cherished for a long time.
The college invites guests from various walks of life to grace the occasion with their thought-provoking and inspiring sessions and provide their valuable inputs to the newly joining students. The morning session will have a formal get-together, followed by lunch. The Management and the Principal gives history of Aurora and provides an overview of activities that take place at AEC during four years of study. All first year students attend the event along with their parents. Post lunch session, the students are taken to their respective departments to show the labs and introduce the teachers.
Ananya, one of the most anxiously awaited occasions that marks the annual day celebrations of AEC. Many cocurricular and extracurricular activities, cultural programs are conducted as part of the celebrations. The winners of the cultural events are given a chance to perform on the stage.
Many prominent personalities from different walks of life are invited to the celebrations, who in turn not just grace the occasion but also inspire our young minds with their valuable words. ANANYA-2016 was celebrated on 7th April, 2016. The principal himself was the convenor of this event. The Chief guest of the evening was Dr. M. Viswanandam, Professor and director, University Foreign Relations, JNTU, Hyderabad. Mr. Suddala Ashok Teja, famous poet and lyricist was the Eminent guest. The other guests were, Mr. Rahul Pandit, COO, Infobahn Softworld; Mr. Akshath Reddy, First Class cricketer, and Mr. Ravi Varma, famous music director.
The program started with the students' display of thier innovations and inventions that received a thunderous applause from the chief guest. The chief guest in his keynote address, expressed the need for quality education and the role of youth in building the society. He felt that the young and enthusiastic minds can cahnge the face of the society with their contribution to science in India. The secretary Dr. N. Ramesh Babu also graced the occasion and stressed the need for research bent of mind among the students. It has been a tradition to start something new on this occasion for the benefit of the students and teachers.
SNATAKA is the most awaited event in Aurora calendar. The annual graduation ceremony is a day devoted to celebrating an important phase in students' lives. Examinations are finally over, hectic academics are replaced with fancy clothes and parents admire their children for reaching the finishing line of a long marathon. Most of all, it is a time of unrestrained optimism.
SNATAKA is celebrated on a grand scale on par with universities. Everything is done professionally. The chief guests include the best and the renowned people from both academic and industry background are invited along with the JNTU Registrar. All the aurora group of engineering colleges participates in this occasion. The toppers from various sister concerned colleges are felicitated with gold medals. That is followed by awarding of degrees to the students.
Fresher's Day is a welcome party to newcomers that helps in developing a sense of confidence in them by interacting with the seniors. The very purpose of Fresher's Day party is to welcome newcomers in a friendly atmosphere and avoid social evils, to encourage their creative impulses to boost their confidence.
Unlike many colleges AEC makes it a point to celebrate this occasion within the college premises. Celebrating fresher's party in college campus has several advantages. Lecturers can also participate in this event and get to know the students better and it is less burdensome for students who can't afford to pay money in the name of pubs. It also avoids any untoward incidents happening in the name of partying.
Vigama, one of the important events of the Aurora calendar, is a farewell to the outgoing students of the college by the third year students and the college management. This year VIGAMA was celebrated grandli. The third year students bid adieu to their seniors in style. There was dance, music and lots of fun during the farewell party organized by the respective departments and the college.The students had a fun evening with their friends, recalling the good time spent with one another.
The chief guest was Sri. Raghu N Prabhakar, Director, Placement & Training, Aurora Consortium stressed the need for good employability skills among the students in fulfilling their dreams. Healso emphasized the need to finetune good communication skills, interpersonal skills and technical skills.
India is one of the most diverse countries in the world when it comes to culture and religions. As a result, the celebration of religious festivals has always been an important part of Indian culture. Traditional Day is observed as a celebration of India's diverse culture, and is usually relaxed day at work. It's a day designated for people to come in traditional attire from their home state, or specific culture of their choice.
SAMPRADAYA, traditional day, is usually celebrated during the festival season, specially, PONGAL. The response we get to this has been simply amazing as most of the students and the staff turning up in traditional attires, representing different cultures. It is a welcome change for all, who looked wonderful in the colourfulsarees, sherwanis, kurtas, etc.
This is the day the students eagerly wait for with many hopes and aspirations. The Training and Placement Cell of AEC organizes placement day for the students to get placed in the best of the companies and jumpstart their career. Many esteemed companies visit the AEC and its sister-concerned colleges for the recruitment of students. This is highly rewarding as the students can get placed at the comfort of their college atmosphere without going to different places which is time consuming. Our students have been handed over their appointment letters from the recruiters on this day and got them placed in many reputed companies all these years.
